A Victorian program of Pets as Therapy was established in 1987, hosted by Guide Dogs Victoria and then Lort Smith (previously known as the Lort Smith Animal Hospital).
Experiences from the program inspired this book of poems. They are complemented by photos from the archives of Guide Dogs Victoria and Lort Smith, and some historical notes about the program.
This project was offered as a fundraiser to the charities involved. We gratefully acknowledge their support, and also of the Lost Dogs' Home .
